This day is sacred and powerful. I will be there in the background to document your day, as long as it takes. You are a beautiful laboring warrior who is bringing life into this world.
As you work with your body to get this baby into the world, let me capture the support and little moments of your partner, family members anxiously waiting, and that strength moment holding and seeing your baby that you just brought into this world for the first time.
I believe in birth photography and films, because I wish I would have had my births documented.
I had newborn sessions done, and I had some iPhone pictures but I missed the emotion, all the first moments after, and I remember the trauma I experienced with my daughters birth over the miracle and strength I had.
My sons birth 2 years later was shadowed with the trauma and worry but his birth was peaceful, calm and gave me some healing after the trauma I experienced.
Above all we missed my daughter meeting her brother for the first time. We have an iPhone image but it is not the same as an artist capturing that moment for you so you can be present and enjoy the moment.
