Most Saturdays are our family day. We try to do different things each Saturday and then some we do nothing at all. But today was special and very fun. We went to Owasso and picked blueberries! Amelia ate almost as many as she picked and I don’t blame her because they were delicious and so so so sweet! It was our first time to ever go pick our own berries and it was so satisfying. I have always wanted some sort of garden and this just solidified that desire. Today was the last day to pick of the season and I am so glad we decided to go. It started out cloudy and mildly hot then sunny and EXTREMELY HOT! So half way through the kids and I made our way back to an umbrella and some cold water while Hank finished filling our bucket. Bless that man!
I have been guilty of wanting to be in the moment (which is brilliant and not bad at all) but I also can be so in the moment that I forget to properly capture and document our family moments! So I am trying to be mindful and present as well as balancing capturing sweet memories for Amelia and Judah to look back on. I love documenting memories for others and I just have to make sure to capture our own!
My favorite images from today are the ones that are not perfect, but they capture the true season we are in. Like Amelia is always on the run so a lot of her photographs are soft or blurry and I actually love that. I will always remember her being quick and interested in every little thing that she cannot stand still long enough to get a “perfect” shot. Always asking “whats that mommy”. Anything to remember her little curious voice.
